I have a a 7 month old male siberian husky puppy named Potter. He is super strong and super active. Sadly 3 months after I got him (he was about 5.5 months old) I learned that I had serious medical issues and needed a hysterectomy. At only 26 years old I figured I would be able to handle Potter and his needs to go out. Sadly I was wrong. I had purchased the runner to allow him to get the exercise he needs. This runner really held up!
My dog really doesn’t enjoy this thing. But I don’t enjoy that we can’t keep him in our fenced in yard. And I would be heart broken if he got ran over. This does the job. It’s a pretty good length and the pulley prevents it from binding. The spring is nice so if he goes crazy and takes off it’s not as bad a jerk when he runs out of rope.
The hardest part of the install was attaching the runner to two stationary points, which has nothing to do with the runner it self. Very strong, the springs on the cable give a little cushion if your dog goes charging off to its full length. My dog has enough room to do what he wants without being able to run off. Very happy...
